U5 The U5 league is for children born in birth year 2014. This league is a mixture of children who have had some experience in the U3/U4 league, and children who have never played an organized sport. The purpose of this league is for children to learn how to move the ball around the field, work with their teammates, and build their confidence. This league is a mixture of children who have had some experience in the U3/U4/U5 league, and children who have never played an organized sport. U7 The U7 Boys/Girls league is for boys/girls ages 6.5 & 7 (birth year 2012). U7 plays a 4v4 format (NO goalie, 2 defenders, 2 forwards/offense), where players are encouraged to rotate and play all positions. Like U6, players are taught the basic skills involved in playing soccer, but getting them to play their positions is emphasized. They are taught to learn about dribbling, passing, positioning, throw ins, etc. Unlike the rest of the league, this division is not coed and boys and girls are separated in an effort to encourage the girls to build confidence and enjoy playing the game. U11/U12 The U12 division is for children ages 10 and 11 (birth year 2008 & 2009). As kids get older, the number of registrations tend to drop. To ensure that teams aren't playing each other week after week, our league participates in other local Inter-town rec leagues, such as Salem, Derry, Windham, Hampstead and Chester. Weekly games are rotated and alternate from home and away games. 10 & 11 15-17 Inter-town 9 v 9 format with certified referee 1.5 hours per week Shorts, shin guards, water bottle, outdoor soccer cleats, size 4 soccer ball (team shirt and socks provided by league) Home games: At West Road field 6.
